#Fitness – My fitness goals for 2018

It’s the start of a new year. With it come all the New Years Resolutions that most people stick to for 2 months and then forget about. That’s why I won’t make any resolutions like “eat cleaner” or “get fitter”. These are way too vague. Instead, I decided to set some specific goals that I want to achieve this year.

Finally learn how to do the splits!img_7549.jpg

I started stretching to do the splits two years ago. And i quit. I tried again 6 months ago and quit again. That’s why I really want to keep to it this time. I’ll try to find time to stretch at least 3 times a week in order to get more flexible and finally be able to do the splits.

Be able to hold a plank for 7 minutes.

My core muscles are actually quite strong. However, my top time I can hold a normal plank is currently 4 minutes. Now, I watched a live video on Instagram (I don’t remember of whom) where a girl holds a plank for 7 minutes. I want to be able to do that as well. I presume I will simply increase the time I plank step by step and work towards my goal.

Grow my glutes.

The one thing every girl wants. Just like chocolate hehe :b Grow them glutes! I actually started doing so in 2017 and it already made a bit of a change. Two legdays per week pay off. However, I want to have the best backside I can for my bikinis on summer holiday this year;)

Learn more about my body.

It is no secret that I am not a fitness trainer or anything like that. I learn everything I know from YouTube and Blogs. This year I’d like to focus on finding out more about calorie intake, muscle to fat ratio on my body and how I can change it. The first step for this is doing a fitness check in my local Fitnesscenter John Harris. I can’t wait!

Accept my body for what it is

I am a person who feels the need to be perfect. Even though I don’t expect it from others, I am so hard on myself. More often than not I find myself nagging about my body and appearance. So, I want to be kinder to myself and accept that people are not perfect. And I don’t have to be either.

Did you make any new years resolutions? What are your plans and goals for 2018? Let me know on my Instagram or in the comments below.
